2. General information

This privacy policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit this website or contact me, for what purposes and which rights you have. Personal data is information relating to an identified or identifiable person. Processing is subject to the GDPR and other applicable data protection provisions.

3. Hosting and website delivery

This website is hosted on infrastructure provided by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. Frankfurt am Main was selected as the deployment region. Vercel operates a global infrastructure, so this does not mean that all processing takes place exclusively in Germany or the EU.

Requests may involve IP addresses, access dates and times, requested pages and files, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL and technical connection information. Processing supports delivery, security, stability and abuse prevention. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, with a legitimate interest in secure and functional website operation. Retention depends on the services used and their configuration.

4. Domain registration and DNS

The domains ehmanntech.de and ehmanntech.com are registered with IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS provides domain administration and, where configured, DNS services. Technical data may be processed depending on the DNS configuration. The purpose is website accessibility, based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. Contact and project advisor

You can contact me by email. This website has no contact form with server-side delivery. The project advisor handles your selections only in your browser memory. Answers are not stored permanently or sent to me automatically. Opening the email link passes them to your email application; you review and send the message yourself.

When you email me, I process the information provided, including your name, email address, message and any optional phone number or other details, to respond and, where appropriate, prepare or perform a contract. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual enquiries, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on the legitimate interest in responding to messages.

Data is deleted when no longer required, unless statutory retention obligations or other lawful reasons for retention apply.

6. Fonts

This website uses Hanken Grotesk. Font files are included at build time using next/font and delivered from this website’s infrastructure. Your browser does not connect to Google Fonts servers for this purpose. The font provides a consistent and readable presentation.

7. Vercel Web Analytics

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics to analyse usage statistically and improve the website. Information includes visited pages, referrers, browser, operating system, device type and approximate geographical location. According to Vercel, the service does not use tracking cookies. Visits are distinguished using short-lived identifiers derived from request information.

Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and the legitimate interest in statistical evaluation and improving the website and its usability. You may object to processing on this basis under Article 21 GDPR.

8. Vercel Speed Insights

This website uses Vercel Speed Insights to measure and improve technical performance. The service processes page and performance information such as loading times and details about browsers, operating systems and device types. This helps identify technical issues and improve loading speed. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on the legitimate interest in reliable and user-friendly website operation.

9. Cookies and local storage

The project advisor does not use cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage to store answers. Answers reset when the page is reloaded. Fonts are served locally. According to Vercel, Web Analytics does not use tracking cookies. This website currently has no consent dialog; the analytics functions described here therefore do not rely on consent having been given.

10. Recipients of personal data

Technical providers include Vercel for hosting, usage analytics and performance measurement, and IONOS for domain administration and, where configured, DNS. Email providers are involved in delivering messages. Data is shared only where necessary for the relevant purpose or where another legal basis applies. Processing on behalf of the controller is subject to Article 28 GDPR.

11. Transfers to third countries

Vercel services may process data outside the EU or EEA, particularly in the United States. The requirements of Articles 44 et seq. GDPR apply. Vercel describes contractual safeguards and standard contractual clauses in its Data Processing Addendum:

You can contact the controller for information about safeguards applicable to your data.

12. Retention

Personal data is generally retained only as long as required for its purpose. Longer retention requires a statutory obligation or another lawful reason. Retention of technical data by providers depends on the services used and their configuration.

13. Your rights

Subject to the statutory conditions, you have the following rights:

Access (Article 15 GDPR): Information about whether and which personal data is processed about you.

Rectification (Article 16): Correction of inaccurate data and completion of incomplete data.

Erasure (Article 17): Deletion under the statutory conditions.

Restriction (Article 18): Restriction of processing under the statutory conditions.

Portability (Article 20): Receipt of certain data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.

Objection (Article 21): You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation.

Withdrawal (Article 7(3)): You may withdraw any consent given with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, contact the controller using the details above.

14. Complaints

Under Article 77 GDPR, you may complain to a supervisory authority if you believe processing infringes data protection law. The competent authority includes the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg:

15. Security of transmission

This website uses HTTPS to protect transmitted information against unauthorised access in transit. Complete security of data transmission cannot be guaranteed.

16. Changes to this policy

This policy is updated when functions, providers, processing activities or legal requirements change. The current version is available on this website.
